Additional information
Dr Olivia Barney keeps all hard and electronic medical records securely at Spire Leicester Hospitals. Spire Hospitals are jointly responsible for protecting all your medical records. Your records are not removed from Spire Hospital except for the purposes of transfer of care between NHS and Spire Leicester Hospitals. For example, if cancer is suspected your records will be transferred securely to University Hospitals Leicester for discussion with the Gynaecological Cancer Multidisciplinary Team. All outgoing emails from Spire Leicester Hospitals are encrypted.
Annonymised surgical data are also collected as part of continuous audit to provide evidence for Revalidation with the GMC. Whenever hard copies of patient lists are removed from Spire Leicester Hospital to transfer these to UHL to facilitate audit requirements, these are carried in a locked document bag.
COVID19 UPDATE
Olivia has no access to consulting rooms at Spire Leicester Hospital at the present time due to Spire being contracted to NHS work up until September. In order to continue to support her patients Olivia is therefore offering virtual appointments on the telephone or video call if preferred. All notes made during the appointment will be transported to Spire Leicester Hospital in a secure bag within 24h of the appointment.
How we protect your data
droliviabarney.co.uk will not share your data with third parties. The email account linked to the website is not encrypted and clients are advised not to share personal medical issues via email.
