COVID19 Update

Olivia continues to be able to offer a full gynaecology service despite COVID-19.

For your first appointment and especially if an examination or a procedure is needed, it is best to make a face to face appointment to see Olivia. Wherever possible she can be consulted virtually via ZOOM or telephone. Although a virtual appointment means she is unable to examine you, Olivia can still make recommendations, start medications and arrange investigations. Please note that Olivia is not able to offer her services if you are not in the UK at the time of your virtual appointment, due to constraints imposed by medical indemnity.
Please specify what type of appointment you need when you book it.

If you are not able to take the virtual appointment call or miss the call, you will be liable for the cost of the appointment in the same way as if you miss a face to face appointment.

If you are on an NHS waiting list for surgery and wish to pay to have your operation at Spire Hospital instead of waiting – you do not need a referral from your GP.

Olivia also accepts self referrals – with or without insurance. She recommends that you do not take out a new insurance policy if you already have a health problem that you wish to consult Olivia about, as most policies would not cover you for problems from which you are already suffering or cover would not immediately come into effect. You may be better off seeing Olivia first and once treatment is completed, only then taking out a policy. If you are unsure what is best in this regard, you can speak to Olivia’s secretary for advice.

Please contact her secretary, Gemma directly by email at gemma.winters@spirehealthcare.com or call her to arrange for a clinic appointment.
