A new ward for the Gynaecology Assessment Unit at LRI

As Head of Service in gynaecology, Olivia worked with her team to develop our new Gynaecology Assessment Unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary, officially opened by
Mr. Karamjit Singh CBE (Chairman)
As part of the ongoing developments at UHL, Gynaecology Emergency Services and the Early Pregnancy Service at UHL have moved from the Kensington building across to the Balmoral Building. This brings these elements of Gynae emergency services together in one ward base, nearer to A&E and the operating theatres and away from the maternity services – a more sensitive location for women suffering pregnancy loss. Olivia worked closely with the redevelopment team, to maximise the opportunity provided byt the move and to ensure that our women have the best environment possible in which to be looked after during difficult times.
